Article Excerpt:

Skip the Ick! Don't get sick with this little list!

Here's what you need:

•Skip the hand sanitizer & wash your hands every chance you can- especially if you work with the public, in an office, school or other public sector.

•Ocillococcinum (get 6-12 doses) Can be purchased at Whole Foods, Rite Aid, Walgreens & Target.

•Vitamin C- Adults should shoot for 3000mg at first sign of cold or flu. Stick with this for a week. Children cut the dose in half, infants 1/8 to 1/4 that amount. I always go by weight. I like American Health Buffered Vitamin C Capsules.

•Echinacea Capsules or tincture (liquid). Buy brands such as Gaia Herbs, Herb Pharm, Paradise Herbs, Source Naturals (their wellness formula is good) & I'm sure there are many others.

•Pick up cold and flu herbal teas to help push fluids. I like Gypsy Cold Tea by Traditional Medicinals, Echinacea Elder also by Traditional Medicinals is good. (& tastes good). You can't go wrong with Nettle, Ginger & Holy Basil Teas as well.
