At Home Flu Kit! Avoid the Flu With This Little List!

Skip the Ick! Don't get sick with this little list!

Here's what you need:

•Skip the hand sanitizer & wash your hands every chance you can- especially if you work with the public, in an office, school or other public sector.

•Ocillococcinum (get 6-12 doses) Can be purchased at Whole Foods, Rite Aid, Walgreens & Target.

•Vitamin C- Adults should shoot for 3000mg at first sign of cold or flu. Stick with this for a week. Children cut the dose in half, infants 1/8 to 1/4 that amount. I always go by weight. I like American Health Buffered Vitamin C Capsules.

•Echinacea Capsules or tincture (liquid). Buy brands such as Gaia Herbs, Herb Pharm, Paradise Herbs, Source Naturals (their wellness formula is good) & I'm sure there are many others.

•Pick up cold and flu herbal teas to help push fluids. I like Gypsy Cold Tea by Traditional Medicinals, Echinacea Elder also by Traditional Medicinals is good. (& tastes good). You can't go wrong with Nettle, Ginger & Holy Basil Teas as well.

•Lastly Avoid eating heavy, sugary foods. This will help your body contend with illness instead of trying to digest mass quantities.

If you already sick these things might help- but you may need other remedies like homeopathic Bryonia for cough or possibly Kali Bich for thick mucus. See me with questions!
