The Real Milk Deal

There are many benefits of consuming raw milk but to narrow it down to a BIGGY; Calcium.  Calcium is a mineral (essentially rock) that helps make bones and teeth strong.  We've been taught since we were 'yay tall' that milk does a body good.  We've been inundated by the "Got Milk" ad campaign featuring countless celebrities for the better part of the last 20 years.

The part that they conveniently leave out of the ad is that pasteurized milk doesn't have what we need to absorb Calcium.

Let me repeat that: Pasteurized milk, the milk that we all grew up on, doesn't supply absorbable Calcium.

If your sitting there wondering how this could be possible,  I would ask, "how it could be possible that with the amount of milk this country drinks that people could still have osteoporosis?"

The fact is "Countries with the highest rates of osteoporosis, like the U.S., England, and Sweden, drink the most milk.  China and Japan, where people eat much less protein and dairy food, have low rates of osteoporosis."

What pasteurized/homogenized milk producers (Organic or Conventional) don't want you to know is that by the very process of pasteurization, when enzymes like phosphatase and others are destroyed; we hinder our body's ability to absorb Calcium and other minerals from milk.

Good Ol' Calcium isn't easy to break down and the body requires phosphatase to utilize this essential mineral. Otherwise it is simply floating around in your blood stream lodging itself willy-nilly where ever it can ie: joints and arteries.

That is the real kicker;  drinking milk may also may contribute to hardening (calcification) of your arteries and osteoarthritis. So if you must drink moo-juice, look for a reputable Organic Raw milk source...since I'll be looking myself in the next month or so I'll let you know what I come up with :/

PS:  I just dropped a major bomb on most of you, I know, but there is good news: You can get perfectly absorbable Calcium in the following ways....

Drink less Pasteurized Milk; the process of metabolizing animal fat leaches minerals from the bones. Eat less Meat (again, high protein diet=leaching of minerals) see below Cornell Study;
